News & updates for the week of April 27, 2020 *  Learning-at-Home Edition
IMPORTANT UPDATE
Support for our Students and Families:
4-Day Learning Schedule
Beginning the week of April 27, we will be moving to a four-day learning schedule in all grades K-5. Teachers will continue to post assignments Monday through Thursday.  Fridays will now be a "Wrap Up Day" with no new teacher posts. Students can catch up on assignments (we know if can be overwhelming with everything sent on a daily basis), spend time on specials, Google Meet with their teachers or just catch up with some much-needed time outside! Please know we appreciate EVERYTHING you are doing to ensure your student's success and we want to express our amazement at the outstanding job all of our students are doing each week!

Together we can do this!

Fairview PRIDE!
Grab-and-Go School Meals
The Fairview Park City School District is providing meals during the extended school closure for families who rely on free or reduced-cost meals for their children.

We will continue to offer no-cost, grab-and-go meals (each student will receive 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches) each week.

Family and Community Engagement
Hello Fairview Park Families!

I hope this newsletter finds everyone in your family healthy and happy! We can do this!  We had some parent Zoom meetings this week that were a great way for us (the district) to see how parents and students are doing. We understand what the parents are going through and we are trying everything we can to support you!  We will have some more of these meetings in the future.  If there is anything you can think of that we can do to help, please let me know!

The Counselor Advantage Newsletter is full of resources and ideas.  If you did not see it, you can view it here

Looking for a craft idea for your family?  How about making cards for our:

Fairview Park Fire department
Fairview Park Police department
Fairview Park City - Service Department, Mayor's Office, etc.
Cleveland Clinic - Nurses and Doctors

I will be putting bags outside of FHS main entrance and GS main entrance for each group.  Let's fill those bags!

Stay healthy and happy! Parents, take care of yourself!
