Congratulations Class of 2020
Members of the class of 2020 may not have celebrated graduation as they traditionally would, but their accomplishments have not gone unnoticed by the University of Windsor Alumni Association. Congratulations Graduates decals are on display in three locations: the main campus Welcome Centre, Windsor Hall on Ferry Street, and the Alan Wildeman Centre for the Creative Arts on Freedom Way.
Virtual Town Hall outlines steps being taken for return to campus
University president Dr. Robert Gordon together with members of the senior management team answered questions submitted by campus and community members about the fall semester and outlined measures being taken for a safe return to campus. Listen to the recording.
Students "lettuce" see their salads
The Alumni Association sponsored The Lettuce See Your Salads project that provided fresh local produce to students. More than 50 students picked up kits of greens and vegetables at the student centre. They were encouraged to share photos of their fresh creations on social media.

Student centre events co-ordinator, Sandra Ricco- Muglia said other events including virtual movie nights, bingo and trivia, also sponsored by the Association, helped to keep students engaged during the pandemic.

Body temperature monitoring to help limit spread of COVID-19
A body temperature sensing system developed by Windsor's DataRealm and Eaigle of Markham can measure temperatures of individuals in large crowds.

Law grads apply skills to pandemic fight
Guri Pannu JD '07 never expected his law degree would take him to a place where he was conducting media appearances on TSN and Sporstnet, creating a makeshift distribution centre for millions of items of personal protective equipment (PPE), and designing apparel with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

He and fellow alum Fatema Dada JD '07 have been key players in the establishment of the cross-country organization  Conquer COVID-19 , helping communities during the coronavirus pandemic. Both are board members; Pannu is also chief operating officer and chief legal officer, and Dada plays multiple roles in legal and distribution. Continue reading.

Lancer Rec offers online work-outs
Lancer Recreation is inviting UWindsor students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community to stay active together even when apart through the 2020 Recreation Movement.

The University of Windsor is the first Canadian university and 110th school overall to participate in the challenge, which offers opportunities to participate in online workout classes from different colleges and universities across the United States .

WIFF celebrates Pride for the month of June. It's a great opportunity to reflect and celebrate on-screen LGBTQIA2S+ characters and story lines

The Mark Boscariol 48-Hour Flickfest: Lockdown Edition award winners will be announced on Facebook live stream on June 19 at 8 p.m.
