Nona Families, Student Athletes & Fans,
I am coming to you with this letter to tell you more about the beautiful work being done by the NONA CARES Foundation for the last 3 years and a brief look ahead.
The Foundation was created in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and there have been efforts to help families in different ways up to this point.
The Foundation will continue to meet needs of the community but the main focus must always come back to the main purpose Nona Cares was created. This purpose is to build, and sustain, a Scholarship Fund for helping financially making youth soccer and youth basketball affordable for any child that wants to play.
Since I started Nona Soccer in 2016, I vowed to never turn a child away because of a financial situation or for the inability to afford our program. We of course examine the circumstances to be certain the hardship or inability to pay is valid.
I am proud to reveal that we have given over 350K in scholarship funds since NONA’s creation in Fall of 2016 to make sure my mission of delivering youth sports to all.
Through Nona Cares we are activating initiatives and family activities to come together as a community to generate funds to assist with our main mission, continue outreach beyond the youth scholarships and meet our goal to do just that.
The Nona Cares Goal is to raise 60K for our 6-year anniversary! I know together we can do it.
