SENIOR NIGHT

Thank you to everyone who made Senior Night on September 20 a memorable occasion! Each senior who played a fall sport was thoughtfully honored by a fellow student. The students expressed their admiration, friendship, and gratitude for our seniors. Listening to the student honorings was moving for everyone present, especially for parents of seniors. For our younger students who attended, it was a valuable opportunity to witness the way the Trinity School mission and vision is lived out in our athletic program. Well done, everyone!

CROSS COUNTRY SECTIONALS

Cross Country sectionals are this Saturday, October 8, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at Erskine Golf Course. Entry fee is $7.00. Come out and cheer for the Trinity Titans!

FALL SEASON CELEBRATIONS

Our fall season is winding down. Varsity and junior varsity soccer concluded this week, and our grades 6-8 soccer teams will wrap up next week with home games at the Trinity School Athletic Center. Thank you, coaches and students, for the many hours of dedication and passion you invested into the fall sports season! We have seen so much growth and an increase in skills and athleticism across all of our teams. Each team will be setting aside a time to get together, celebrate, and re-cap the fall season, so be on the lookout for team-specific information coming soon from coaches.

REGISTER FOR BASKETBALL

Basketball season is right around the corner! If your child plans to participate, please register soon. Here are the start dates for each team:

October 17

Girls basketball for grades 9-12

October 18

Boys basketball for grades 9-12

Week of October 24 (exact date TBD)

Boys basketball for grades 6-8

January (exact date TBD)

Girls basketball for grades 6-8

If your child is already registered in Eventlink for a fall sport, simply re-submit a new form using the drop-down menu to select basketball. If registering multiple children, you must complete the process separately for each child. A laptop tends to work better than the mobile app for the registration process.

If this is your first time registering your child for a sport this school year, we will need all of the required forms linked below, including a sports physical form filled out by a doctor. These forms are also available in Eventlink.

Contact Kathy Klimek at kklimek@trinityschools.org if you have any questions.

ALL-PARENT WINTER SPORTS MEETING

If your child will participate in any boys or girls basketball team in grades 6-12, even if his or her season does not begin until January, please mark your calendar and plan on attending the All-Parent Winter Sports Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24 at the basketball court in the Trinity School Athletic Center. We will give an overview of what to expect during the season and break out into teams so that you can receive specific information from your child's coach. This meeting is important so please make it a priority to attend.

CLEAN SWEEP VOLUNTEER EVENT

Join us for a Clean Sweep of the Trinity School Athletic Center! This will take place just prior to the All-Parent Winter Sports Meeting.

All Trinity School students are invited to this volunteer event on Monday, October 24, from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. We will be tidying, cleaning, and performing light maintenance tasks in and around the gym to create a fresh start for the winter season. Students and parents alike are encouraged to join in, as we will have a variety of jobs and tasks for different ages and skill levels. Pizza and beverages will be provided before we transition into the All-Parent Winter Sports Meeting.

COACHING & VOLUNTEER NEEDS

We are looking for volunteers to coach our 6th-8th grade girls and boys basketball teams, as well as volunteers to help run concessions, ticketing, and more. Our SignUpGenius page will soon be updated with volunteer opportunities for basketball season.

If you are interested in supporting the athletic program in any of these ways, please email Kathy Klimek at kklimek@trinityschools.org.

SHARE YOUR PHOTOS

Many thanks to all parents and other members of our community who take photos at sporting events and share them with us! These photos are needed in many areas of school communications, as well as for the yearbook, and are much appreciated. If you have photos to share, please send them to Julia Wickes at jwickes@trinityschools.org.
