Student Spotlight - Shriya Jukanti
Hey Raiders,
I am Shriya Jukanti, an international student from Hyderabad, India. I joined Wright State University is Summer 2021, and I am getting my Masters Degree in Computer Science.
I am a very experimental person and I love to try new adventures, travel to new places, try out new recipes and meet new people. Also, I am a typical water baby, loving to swim and play at the beaches. Beach paragliding is one of my favorite water adventure.
I am really very glad to join Wright State University. I am amazed at the lovely coordination that is being maintained between the students and the professors, even in these testing Covid times. Not all universities have such cooperative professors and staff. Lucky us!
It is very unfortunate that we all are unable to meet and interact in person but I really hope that we all catch up soon. That would be real fun!!
Before concluding, I would like to thank the Wright State staff for providing me with this precious opportunity to introduce myself to you all.

National Holidays Spotlight
The beloved hamburger gets its own day on National Hamburger Day on May 28.
Every May 28, National Hamburger Day celebrates America’s most iconic food. Americans eat over 50 billion burgers a year, so it’s only fitting we set aside a whole day for these special sandwiches. Originating in Hamburg, Germany, the hamburger as we know it was developed in Seymour, Wisconsin, a town still famous for its hamburger heroics.
