Heavenly Father,
You entrusted your Son Jesus, the child of Mary, to the care of Joseph, an earthly father. Bless all fathers as they care for their families. Give them strength and wisdom, tenderness and patience; support them in the work they have to do, protecting those who look to them, as we look to you for love and salvation, through Jesus Christ
our rock and defender.
Amen.

Novena for George Floyd, all who have lost their lives, and those who continue
to suffer because of the sin of racism.
Nine days of open prayer beginning on St. John the Baptist Feast Day
Wednesday June 24- Thursday, July 2, 2020
There are no easy answers, but our faith can be an important lens through which to analyze these realities and that helps us to discern the steps towards social action. We must
recognize how each of us, as part of the body of Christ, fits into this web of racism in our country.
During this novena St John the Baptist and the larger faith community will pray for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all who have lost their life at the hands of racism in some form. We pray for the consolation of their loved ones who grieve. And we pray for both peace and reconciliation as well as an end to racism and racial injustice.
See the full
novena schedule here
. Join us whenever and however you can. The two prayer opportunities throughout all nine days include praying this
prayer
every day and offering up your prayer intentions (and/or flowers) at the prayer tree (east church entrance) or
online.
If nothing else, pray this
prayer
once, if not all nine days, knowing there are so many others praying the same prayer along with you.

Mrs. Jennifer Lemke-Andrews
"
All children are unique gifts from God. I strive to have a classroom environment that is welcoming to all students and parents. I believe children learn through play as well as hands-on activities. Teachable moments are abundant in the early years and I seek out those moments each day."

|
Mrs. Kelly Drews
"Children come to us with vast differences and God-given strengths and talents that we can help to discover and foster. Strong nurturing and community aspects of a classroom can allow for spiritual, emotional and academic growth at the highest level."
