Commodities  Distribution to Take Place on Friday, May 22
Westland, MI (May 14, 2020) -  The City of Westland will be distributing surplus Federal food at the Jefferson Barns Community Vitality Center on the following date(s) and time(s):
                                         
  Friday, May 22nd, 2020       10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

All residents north of Michigan Avenue will pick up their commodities at the Jefferson Barns Community Vitality Center, 32150 Dorsey Road, Westland, Michigan, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
 
Residents of Westland living south of Michigan Avenue should pick up their commodities from 10 a.m.
to 1 p.m., the second Monday of each month at St. James United Methodist Church, which is located at 30055 Annapolis, between Henry Ruff and Middlebelt Roads. Their phone number is (734) 729-1737.
 
Senior citizens living in Taylor Towers will pick up their food at Taylor Towers and must call their building manager for their day of distribution.
 
Income guidelines for 2020 are revised as follows:

For the month of May, 2020 we will distribute cooked chicken in a pouch, dried fruit nut mix, walnuts, chick peas, canned peaches, canned pork, green beans and possible additional items. Questions may be
answered by calling the Jefferson Barns Community Center's surplus food hotline at (734) 595-0366.
 
This program is administered by the Wayne County Office of Senior Services. All food allocations, distribution sites and dates of distribution are determined by that agency.
