Interview with Dana Dalton, piano faculty
Throughout this school year, students from the WCMS Piano Department have been taking part in our very first Piano Composers' Project. We asked teaching artist Dana Dalton to describe the project and its process. Plus, don't miss the Piano Composers' Project in concert on April 10.
May 1-7, 2021
Instead of our usual single-day festival this year, WCMS will host a series of events May 1–7 including an afternoon of live student performances around town and outdoors at WCMS; several online recitals; a musical scavenger hunt in Winchester; a virtual Open Mic; a virtual instrument petting zoo; and a livestreamed faculty concert to wrap up the week. Learn more here!
Thank You for Supporting WCMS
We gratefully thank our generous corporate sponsors who have recently renewed their support: John Moriarty & Associates, Winchester Co-op Bank, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate - The Shanahan Group, Winchester Savings Bank, and Carole Kitchen & Bath Design.

And a special thanks to the volunteers who have been assisting WCMS with pandemic-related planning and logistics: Brian Albrecht, Annie Bartlett, Karen Bolognese, Brittany Boulanger, Rob Dietel, Glenn Dickson, Owen Dowden, Patty Dowden, Mike Lambert, and Todd O'Brien.
I think these music appreciation classes are fantastic! In this day and age when it's difficult to get together with others to listen to music, these classes find an audience of like-minded people. This is Zoom at its very best."
