Early Voting Monday, Election Day Tuesday

Early voting wraps up today in Arkansas, with Election Day formally taking place Tuesday across the state. Voting hours are:

8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7
7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8

Remember:

You can look up your sample ballot online before going to vote at www.voterview.ar-nova.org

Photo Identification is required to vote.

You can ask election workers for a provisional ballot to vote if you don't have your photo ID with you. For your provisional ballot to count, you must show up at the county clerk's office by noon Monday with your photo ID.

Campaigning or "electioneering" is prohibited on Election Day within 100 feet of the front door to the voting location.

2022 Arkansas Ballot Issue 1 - Legislative Sessions

Issue 1 - Giving State Legislators the Authority to Call Special Sessions

This amendment would give state legislators the same authority as the governor to call themselves into special session and to set the agenda.

Issue 2 - Requiring 60% Voter Approval for Constitutional Amendments and Citizen-Initiated State Laws

This amendment would require 60% voter approval for future constitutional amendments and citizen-initiated state laws on the ballot.

Issue 3 - Arkansas Religious Freedom Amendment

This amendment would add language to the Arkansas Constitution prohibiting state and local governments from burdening the practice of religion unless the government shows there’s a compelling reason to do so and acts in the least restrictive way.

2022 Arkansas Ballot Issue 4 - Adult Use Cannabis

Issue 4 - Arkansas Adult Use Cannabis Amendment

This amendment would allow adults 21 and older to legally possess 1 ounce of marijuana for non-medical purposes. It would set up a licensing system for a limited number of businesses to grow and sell marijuana for recreational purposes, among other things.

On the Ballot: Local Elected Positions

Before the state primaries in May, we highlighted local elected positions on the ballot. Many of those positions are on the Nov. 8, 2022 General Election.

Positions highlighted include county judge, circuit clerk, county clerk, treasurer, assessor, sheriff, prosecuting attorney, judges, collector, surveyor, constable, and justices of the peace.

Nov. 7 - Last day of early voting

Nov. 8 - General Election, court elections, school elections

Nov. 14 - Deadline is noon on this day to show up at your county clerk's office with photo identification to prove your identity if you voted with a provisional ballot

Dec. 6 - Runoff election, if needed
