April 2021 Edition
Staff Notes
Hi everyone,

National Volunteer Month runs from April 18-24 this year.

I want to take the time to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our adult leaders who make our program possible.

Butte County 4-H has existed for over 100 years, and it is because of community-minded individuals like yourselves who give up their time to lead a fantastic organization.

Sincerely,

Ryan Cleland

Re-Opening Orange Tier
Hello!

Butte County officially moved into California's Orange Tier as of yesterday, Tuesday, March 30th.

The Orange Tier means we can occupy 50% of space's occupancy limits, not to exceed 200 people.

I will keep my comments here brief because the content below is the most important.

Please read the "UCANR In-Person Guidelines" below, and the following text. It is an easy-to-read two-page document that also explains the tiers.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Stay well,

Ryan Cleland

Below is a simple grid showing what meetings are permitted depending on our tier status. The full document with this grid is linked below.
County Ambassador Applications
Are you a 14-year-old or older 4-H'er who wants even greater leadership experiences? We've got the perfect role for you!

Butte County 4-H Ambassadors (formerly known as All-Stars) serve as representatives for the 4-H Program in our community and take an active role in leading our county events and programming.

Along with these experiences, each County Ambassador creates and implements a Plan of Action that is one of the largest learning opportunities a 4-H'er will take on in their tenure.

Below are the application and the County Ambassador Handbook, so you can learn more, and apply for one of the greatest experiences our county has to offer!

  • Applications are due on Friday, April 23rd by 5:00pm
  • Interviews for all applicants will be held on the evening of Thursday, April 29th.

An important update is that we will no longer be requiring a Record Book to be submitted with applications.
