Outdoor and Indoor Worship Services - Sign up for June

Greetings Dear People of Bethlehem,

As we seem to say every month, we have some exciting changes regarding worship for you this month! Please read the following carefully, as there is a lot of new information.

Beginning on June 6th, you will no longer be required to sign up for outdoor worship. Given the changing protocols, we have decided that contact tracing will no longer be necessary for the outdoor services. Additionally, if you haven't been to outdoor worship recently, we have some new guidelines. Masks must be worn while walking around, but once seated they may be removed. We also have to say goodbye to our favorite dismissal phrase - "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here" - because everyone is now allowed to stay after worship for a time of fellowship. Please be sure to maintain social distancing rules and wear masks should you choose to stay and talk.

An updated list of can be found on our website and here at What to Expect When You Come to Outdoor Worship.

Since we are doing away with the sign-ups at outdoor worship, we will no longer be able to send the bulletin on Saturday afternoon. We still ask that if you would like a paper copy of the bulletin that you print it ahead of time. You can still use the QR code once you arrive to worship to download the bulletin to your phone or tablet. You can find the bulletin on our website at https://www.blcenc.org/worship/videos/ or by clicking the link here at

The next announcement is that we are finally ready to resume indoor worship services! After nearly 15 months of not being able to gather as a sacred community within the walls of our beloved sanctuary, we are preparing to fling wide the doors. You will be asked to sign-up for this worship ahead of time using the link below. Attendance will be limited to 70 people as we are trying to create a safe and cautious protocol for this first phase of reopening. For now, we are requiring that all worshippers wear their masks during worship, and seating will be assigned to ensure proper distancing. These protocols are to ensure the safety of all, whether vaccinated or not, and to remain true to our motto of All Are Welcome. Click on the sign-up genius link below to sign-up for indoor worship.

With the addition of an indoor worship service, our service times will be shifting slightly. Starting on June 20th our indoor/livestreamed service will start at 9 AM, and our outdoor service will begin at 10:30 AM.

Finally, we will be continuing our BYOC (Bring Your Own Communion) policy for the time being. For those who will be joining us indoors, we do ask that you bring white wine or white grape juice to protect the upholstery on our pews.
