All Vital Records (birth/death certificates) are now issued out of one centralized location at Broomfield Public Health and Environment located at 100 Spader Way! Here’s what you need to know:
  • Requests for birth and death certificates can be submitted online, by mail, or in person
  • The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Omicron Boosters are Now Available!

The FDA and CDC have authorized new omicron-specific COVID-19 boosters! These boosters are becoming widely available at pharmacies, primary care providers, CPDHE's mobile buses, and other clinics and locations including Broomfield Public Health and Environment. Anyone 12 and older who has completed their primary series and had their most recent dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago is eligible. Toxic Algae Blooms

Toxic algae blooms have been identified at East Park pond in Interlocken, Trails Pond in Westlake and Sagar Reservoir. Signs have been posted in these areas. Residents should not touch or recreate in the water and should not allow pets to touch, swim in or drink the water. Toxic algae can cause a variety of symptoms in people, including skin irritation, diarrhea, stomach pain, fever, headache and sore throat. Toxic algae can kill pets, especially dogs.

At this time of year, residents should always be aware that ponds and lakes could potentially have toxic algae blooms. Learn more here.

Who doesn't love a good charcuterie board 🧀🍇 Delicious, perishable finger foods held at room temperature for 2-4 hours can be put back in the fridge and eaten at a later time (if there are any left after snacking!). Food held at room temperature (or hotter) for 4 hours or more should be composted or thrown away.
