GGUSD High Schools Among Nation's Best...Again.
For the third year in a row, all seven of GGUSD's comprehensive high schools earned a spot on the U.S. News and World Report's elite rankings of America's Best High Schools. On the 2020 list of America’s Best High Schools, GGUSD’s high schools ranked in the top 520 in California and top 3,500 nationally from more than 17,000 ranked schools.
Newhope Students Send Thank You Notes to ICU Staff
Newhope Elementary School students in Mrs. Cecena's third grade class sent thank you notes to the ICU staff at UCI Medical Center for all they are doing to care for our community during the coronavirus pandemic. The ICU staff sent students this photo to show their appreciation for the notes.  #GGUSDPride
Hiil Honors Its Sixth Graders
Hill Elementary School's sixth grade teachers, aides, principal and office staff delivered signs to all sixth grade students this week. These surprise visits were filled with smiles! Kudos to Hill Elementary School for this personal touch to make students feel valued and loved!  #GGUSDPride
GGUSD To Host Virtual Tutor Hiring Fair
The AVID Tutor Hiring Fair is going virtual this year. If you will be or know someone who will be a full-time college student during the 2020-2021 school year, this is a great opportunity. GGUSD Choir Students Spread Inspiration through Music
Students from Alamitos Intermediate, Bell Intermediate and Garden Grove High School are part of the amazing Voices of Hope Children’s Choir, a finalist on last year’s season of America’s Got Talent. During this period of at-home learning, Voices of Hope Children’s Choir continues to spread inspiration through their beautiful music. Watch their latest video shared with us by GGUSD choir members. GGUSD and The City of GG Partner for Art in the Park
GGUSD's Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program is well known for excellence! Check out our video featuring this year's First Impressions Art Awards and Art in the Park event which included participation from thousands of GGUSD students across all grade levels. Thanks to our amazing VAPA teachers for providing awesome opportunities for our students and to  Garden Grove City Hall  for making Art in the Park possible!
Walton Delivers Special Treat to Honor Students of the Month
Walton Intermediate School continued its Student of the Month program during distance learning. Principal Sandra Valencia and Assistant Principal Sean Dishong made home visits, personally delivering pizzas and yard signs honoring seven student scholars.   #GGUSDPride
