CDC Updates Mask Recommendations for Vaccinated Individuals
Last week the CDC issued a recommendation that individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear masks indoors in most public places.

However, these new guidelines state that masks should still be worn in certain settings, including healthcare offices and facilities.

The ADA has compiled an updated FAQ sheet regarding masks, PPE and patient screening recommendations. Click the link below to view the FAQs.
2021 Midwest Dental Assembly by the Numbers
In the largest dental assembly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly 1,000 people attended the 2021 Midwest Dental Assembly in Indianapolis last week. After a year's hiatus because of COVID-19, it was a gratifying experience to be reunited in person for CE, social events and the 2021 House of Delegates meeting.

Below are some numbers related to the conference:

  • 971 attendees
  • 31 live classes offered
  • 42 vendors in the Marketplace
  • $35,000 raised for IDPAC

The 2022 Midwest Dental Assembly will be May 20-22 in Fort Wayne. We hope to see you there. To view a selection of photos from last week's event, visit our MDA page using the button below.
2020 and 2021 Award Recipients Honored at MDA
At the 2021 Midwest Dental Assembly, IDA honored and recognized those who have done an outstanding job promoting, practicing or volunteering for the field of dentistry. This year we recognized recipients from both 2020 and 2021 since the 2020 Midwest Dental Assembly was cancelled.

IDA Unveils New Logo
New logos for the IDA and IDA entities and programs were unveiled on May 15 at the House of Delegates during the 2021 Midwest Dental Assembly. The IDA website includes an explanation of the process behind the new design and a compilation of all our new logos.

The new logos are the product of a six-month development process. The IDA Board delegated the project to a logo task force at the January 2021 meeting.

Members are encouraged to update the IDA logo on their websites and other materials. The second button below includes links to digital and print-friendly logos.
