The International Consensus (IC) Primer
Newly Posted Page "Primer/Cheat Sheets"
As part of our mission to educate patients and medical professionals, we are gathering materials that can be used to help patients better understand the unique issues seen in ME and help guide medical professionals to applicable research and treatment information.
The page includes the ME IC Primer as well as cheat sheets from the North Carolina/Ohio ME & FM Support Group (public on Facebook). Those support group materials are a collaborative effort based on scientific information and patient input (not to be considered medical advice).
Click HERE for the IC Primer and cheat sheets.

ME Organizations
ME can leave us feeling isolated. You are not alone!
There are many organizations that can provide information to help you connect. Find on our website links to organizations from around the world, including archived organizations. International organizations are listed by their country of origin.
Each organization focuses on various patient populations. We have organized this list by the criteria used by each organization, as determined by their website.
See the ME organizations that
have been posted so far
HERE.
This is a work in progress.

Circulatory Impairment in ME
Guest blog at MEadvocacy.org by Maryann Spurgin, Ph.D.
Dr. Spurgin said
"I have thought a lot about circulatory problems over many years, and how these impairments come together to create the intolerable symptomatology of ME that could lead someone to be so impaired as to not be able to swallow, and could lead the Institute of Medicine to declare that organ failure, even death, can occur from the slightest exertion and/or sensory overload."

May 12 Awareness Day
This ye
ar, 2020, marks the 28th anniversary of International May 12th Awareness Day. The idea originated with Thomas Michael Hennessy, Jr., the founder of Repeal Existing Stereotypes about Chronic Immunological and Neurological Diseases. RESCIND (no longer active).

The late pa
tient and staunch advocate,
Thomas (Tom) Hennessy Jr.,
realized the need to have a dedicated day to raise awareness for the diseases he championed for - myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and other complex immunological & neurological diseases (CIND) - such as fibromyalgia (FM), Gulf War illness (GWI), multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), and chronic Lyme disease (CLD).
