Norwalk Public Library welcomes ArtScapades back for a continuing series of lectures on 20th Century Art...now via Zoom! Watch ArtScapades in your own home on Wednesday, November 18th at 6:30 pm. Here's what you have to do...

To register for this lecture, send an email to clahey@norwalkpl.org and you will receive an email with a link to join to watch ArtScapades present The Art of Post Revolution Mexico: From the Muralists to Frida.

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18th, make yourself comfortable, grab a drink, maybe even your dinner, and click on the link you were sent to join the Zoom presentation...then sit back and watch ArtScapades.

The Art of Post Revolution Mexico concentrates on artists who were working after the 1910 Mexican Revolution. It was a period when artists set aside the constraints of colonialism and dictatorship, and began to tell the story of the Mexican people. The life and works of two of the most well-known Mexican Muralists, José Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera will be discussed, as well as that of the infamous Frida Kahlo.

Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, of ArtScapades, began teaching art appreciation in 1998. They have presented at libraries and museums in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Florida.
