Pelvic floor pain or dysfunction can be debilitating. Men and women are often referred to me for experiencing chronic tension in the area, urine retention and/or incontinence.
Many have had multiple tests and procedures offering little to no relief.

I wanted to share a couple common causes to pain and dysfunction to help you or someone you know gain relief.

One common cause is a neuromuscular compensation. Pelvic floor muscles may become overactive, working for other muscles neurologically in the body such as the glute muscles. Ones core may not be working correctly causing excess pressure or demand on the pelvic floor. As the pelvic floor muscles contract in excess, or out of turn so to speak, this creates undue pressure on the nerves, veins, openings and arteries in the area. This pressure can impact blood flow, nerves, intercourse and bowel movements. It can also create urinary retention, leading to recurring urinary tract infections.

I utilize methods from Neuromuscular Restoration to assess muscle function and correct the compensations to eliminate the excess tension on the muscles and surrounding organs. I recently helped a man who has been suffering for close to a year with chronic pain and his discomfort was eliminated within two sessions. It was such a blessing to help him find relief after such suffering. Many women are able to control their bladder after a neuromuscular correction, there's no more dribbling, waiting for the urine to make its way out or loss of control. The wonderful part about a neuromuscular assessment, you get to keep your clothes on and there are no evasive tests taking place, just a mild manual muscle test checking to see which major muscles are not working correctly. This helps to determine why the pelvic floor muscles are working more than necessary.

The other common connection to pelvic floor irritation is related to inflammatory foods, or an imbalanced diet. Excess processed carbs, a protein deficiency and increased pesticide ingestion are some of the typical culprits impacting the lymphatic system, gut health and organs of the pelvic floor region. Everything is connected. Without enough proper protein there may be tissue degeneration and laxity. Excess soy consumption, and additives can irritate the lymphatic system creating a viscerosomatic relationship, causing some spasticity in the area. Pesticides are also known to attack the mucous membranes and impact nerve signaling. If one can reduce ingestion of processed foods and increase whole food intake, this can help a great deal. Locally grown and organic is best if possible.

If you need help in one of these areas, feel free to reach out. You can also meet with another practitioner in your area https://www.healingwithexcellence.com/find-practitioners Neurokinetic therapy is another method that can help reverse pelvic floor dysfunction. This method has been taught for more than a decade worldwide, but it does not include the nutrition aspects to healing. Feel free to search neurokinetictherapy.com for a practitioner in your area for a physical assessment. I am also available for a virtual appointment, guiding you and a friend, family member or professional through the assessment.
Osteoporosis is the next topic of the week!

One in every two women over the age of 55 have full blown osteoporosis in the US, the same for men over 65 years of age. These statistics look daunting, but they do not have to be. As a master personal trainer and avid researcher, I was always told you could not reverse osteoporosis, just work to manage it. After years of experience working with men and women over the age of 60, some in their 90's, I've learned this is not true. Osteoporosis is completely preventable and often reversible through healthy lifestyle habits.

Taking a pill or an injection for osteoporosis rarely works. You can't build bone from a medication and you can't stop bone loss without understanding nutrients and energy output. Many of the medications offered for slowing bone loss are also known to cause side effects such as cancer. A certain amount of bone loss needs to occur for vitality. The key is learning how to nourish your body in such a way to ingest the materials required for bone renewal. Energy to create the osteoblasts required for bone remodeling. Understanding this equation, has afforded me the opportunity to witness the complete reversal of osteoporosis in individuals who have had the diagnosis for more than 5 years. This link offers a course I created a few years ago to help individuals receive the tools to prevent, manage and reverse the diagnosis. If you know how to determine what your body needs and how to formulate a simple plan of renewal, healing is a possibility. It's like understanding what type of fuel and oil your car requires to operate. If you know what it needs, it can operate quite well.

We play the primary role as to how our body operates based on our relationship with our mind, body and spirit. The more we ignore or abuse our body, the more it tends to get upset with us.

Healing is natural!

Our body is designed to heal itself when we utilize the tools God and nature intended for us. The further we drift from our innate lifestyle, the more our body screams at us. Symptoms are a form of communication, letting us know we have something to change in our lifestyle in order to allow the body to sustain homeostasis.

Our bodies are very resilient, yet we have some of the most failing health statistics of the past 75 years.

*Musculoskeletal diseases affect more than one out of every two persons in the United States age 18 and over, and nearly three out of four age 65 and over. https://www.boneandjointburden.org/

*Thyroid diseases affect an estimated 200 million people worldwide. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/landia/article/PIIS2213-8587(13)70166-9/fulltext

I was personally diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Epstein-Barr virus, infertility and experienced various recurring infections for years. Learning this was not supposed to be the norm, and discovering how to put the basics of cell biology into play, blessed me with the experience of complete freedom from any of these ailments. No more recurring respiratory illness, yeast infections, sinus infections or IBS. No flare ups in 12 years!!! Vitality is within reach when we discover authentic health information versus education funded by the food industry and pharmaceutical companies.

If you want to learn how to do this for yourself, or for others, feel free to join me for my next Healing with Excellence certification course! This session will be completely virtual to offer the ability for anyone to join from around the world! 26 years of personal and professional experience condensed down to the most critical foundation for optimal cell renewal.
