Stamp Out Hunger goes virtual in 2021
The largest single-day food drive in the country, the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger food drive will be held virtually in 2021 as a result of COVID-19.

Each year, Stamp Out Hunger brings in 50,000-70,000 pounds of food to benefit the Great Plains Food Bank, Emergency Food Pantry and Dorothy Day Food Pantry.

Great Plains Food Bank names 2020 Hunger Relief Champions
For their longstanding commitment to our mission and especially during a challenging year as a result of COVID-19, the Great Plains Food Bank named Sanford Health, North Dakota Farmers Union/Farmers Union Insurance, Wells Fargo Bank and Linda Narum of the Amidon Community Cupboard food pantry as its 2020 Hunger Relief Champions. This is the highest honor given to our network of 200 food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens each year.

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: Keeping a family together
Stricken with rheumatoid arthritis and advanced age, Matt Stubstad's mother needs his full-time attention. Without serving as her primary caregiver, the alternative is that she be placed in a nursing home, which Matt doesn't have the heart to do.

Seeking needed food assistance through the Dorothy Day Food Pantry in West Fargo, a partner agency of the Great Plains Food Bank, has allowed Matt to continue to be the primary caregiver for his mother.
