DEADLINE EXTENDED
If you are interested in taking on a leadership role at Pen, consider applying for ASB. The class meets daily during fourth period and plans school-wide events such as prom, graduation, homecoming and more. The application and timeline are at pvphs.pvpusd.net under Panther Picks or click here. The deadline to apply for an appointed position is TODAY at 5:00 pm.
 
JNHS MOVIE NIGHT
Watch My Neighbor Totoro hosted by the Japanese National Honor Society TONIGHT at 6:00 pm on Zoom. Fill out the registration form and the link will be sent to you.
 
LINK CREW
Be a mentor to incoming freshmen next year and join Link Crew. Current sophomores and juniors may apply on the Pen website under Panther Picks or click here. Applications are due Friday, Mar. 26 at 6:00 pm.
 
PEF FUNDRAISER
Donate $1,500 or more to the Peninsula Education Foundation by March 31 and you’ll be entered to win dinner for two at Compagnon Bistro in San Pedro plus a bottle of Saint Emilion (Chateau la Bessane). Click here to learn more about PEF and to donate.
 
SUMMER SCHOOL
Under the auspices of Peninsula Education Foundation, two summer school sessions will be offered at Peninsula for 9th through 12th grades. The first semester is June 21 to July 9 and second semester is July 12 to July 29. Go to pvpss.com for a complete list of courses, times and registration details. Classes will be offered on campus as well as online. Registrations all start at 9:00 am for the following: rising seniors begins Monday, Mar. 22; juniors, Wednesday, Mar. 24; sophomores, Monday, Apr. 5; and freshmen, April 20. Peninsula’s first ever poetry slam is being hosted by the Black Student Union and the Gender and Sexuality Alliance on Friday, Mar. 26 at 3:00 pm. Submissions are due this Sunday, March 21. Sign up here.
 
TEEN ENTREPRENEURS
Learn how to create a business and what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. Come to the next meeting of the Teen Entrepreneurs club on Monday, Mar. 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and bring your ideas with you. BOYS’ BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
Practice your basketball skills and get ready for the boys’ basketball tryouts Wednesday, Mar. 24 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on the outdoors courts. Participants must first be cleared through the Student Store and bring to the tryouts a basketball, athletic shoes and reversible jersey, water bottle and hand sanitizer.
