Aging Mastery Program

Congratulations to our AMP Core class and AMP for Caregivers class who will graduate in November!

Clay County Senior Services and Northland Shepherd's Center will offer the Aging Mastery Program beginning Wednesday, February 3, 2021 for 10 weeks via Zoom, from 2:00 - 3:30 pm.
Aging Mastery Program for Caregivers will also be offered in February, hosted by Tri-County Mental Health and Northland Shepherd's Center.
More 10-week sessions of AMP will be offered as well in 2021. For information, contact Paula Zigmond: paula@claycoseniors.org.
November is Caregiver Appreciation Month

Tri-County Mental Health and Northland Shepherd's Center offer Caregiver Support Groups virtually from 10:30 am til noon on Thursdays, November 10 & 24; on Tuesdays, December 8 & 22. Contact Becky Franklin, beckyf@tri-countymhs.org or Dianna Englander, dianna@northlandsc.org.
They will also host 2 special caregiver events. Register with Becky Franklin or Dianna Englander (above).
·        Virtual Self-Care Event for Caregivers on November 13 at 1:00 pm

Mental Health Resources

Becky Franklin, Tri-County Mental Health, will present "Battling COVID Fatigue" virtually through Mid-Continent Public Library on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00 pm. Register at: https://www.mymcpl.org/events/68650/battling-covd-fatigue-zoom

Show Me Hope is Missouri’s crisis counseling program (CCP) in response to a disaster or critical event. Living Well with an Age-related or Chronic Condition

The Northland Living Well Collaborative offers free classes throughout the year to help you manage your health condition and live well. Classes are offered virtually through Zoom. They include:
  • Living Well with Chronic Conditions
  • Steps to Healthier Living: Workplace Edition
  • Diabetes Self-Management Program
  • Chronic Pain Self-Management

Connect with others via a local library program this season

NKC Public Library (nkcpl.org) offers:
  • near-weekly yoga (both mat and chair options)
  • 6-week series with MU Extension on eating smart and staying active
  • opportunities to connect with others over coffee, coloring, and knitting & crochet
  • Are you turning 65? You can even get the lowdown on Medicare.
  • Plus weekly winter prize raffles!

  • fun virtual programs for adults
  • Story Center programs
  • genealogy programs
  • technology programs
