Hello Black Scholars, Welcome back! The Black Scholar's community wishes you a wonderful Fall semester. We are currently in the process of improving our newsletter. This brief newsletter highlights community events and an opportunity for student/community involvement in further releases. Our official newsletter will be sent out monthly starting October of 2022. 
September Events
THE CARPENTER CENTER PRESENTS
A free showing of All Day and A Night through Voices for Justice on Monday, September 19 at 6 p.m. Joe Robert Cole, the creator of this film and co-writer of Black Panther will be in attendance for questions and answers post screening. You do not want to miss this opportunity! This event is FREE, but capacity is limited, and tickets are required for entry into the center.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT OUR SCHOLARS
The Black Business Student Association is seeking CSULB Alumni for their Fall 2022 mentorship program. Those with free time are encouraged to apply to support our Black students and offer expertise in their fields of work!

THE BLACK ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
The Fall 2022 CSULB Black Alumni Scholarship is now open! Please follow the necessary steps to apply. We thank our generous donors and Black Scholars community for allowing us to offer aid and support to our Black scholars on campus. Applications are open August 22nd-October 3rd of 2022.
