Junior Achievement Helps Teachers & Students with
Digital Content for
Virtual Classes
Junior Achievement (JA) of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast is excited about the opportunity to help teachers and students in the sudden switch to provide education in virtual classrooms.

JA saw a need for digital content to help teachers and students in their virtual classrooms and within the first couple of weeks of the schools closing, JA provided over 50 digital lessons and activities.

The list of content and number of students served is surging.

“We are now serving more than 7,000 students with digital content,” said Claudia Kirk Barto, President of Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast. “Many of our in-class programs that we offer are now virtual lessons.”

JA of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast launched JA Google Classrooms to help teachers provide content for their digital classes that started on Monday, March 30, when virtual schools went into session.

Women Entrepreneurs,
Example Not Exception
Women aren't micro, so why do they only get micro-loans? Reporter Gayle Tzemach Lemmon argues that women are running all types of firms, from home businesses to major factories, and they are the overlooked key to economic development.

This video explains the impact women are making at work.

The JA + CNBC Virtual Town Hall will address teens’ questions and concerns related to the financial impact of COVID-19.

The event is being made available to students, teachers, and parents seeking answers to questions like, “Why are people losing jobs?” “How will this impact my plans for college?” and “Are we going to be OK?”

Thank you, Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation, for believing in our mission!

The Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation was founded in 2007 due to the generosity of Mrs. Cornelia Tarrant Bailey and is dedicated to the memory of both Mr. and Mrs. Bailey.

Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast is proud to announce that the Foundation is covering the costs of transporting JA BizTown Mobile to our local schools this year and next!

JA BizTown Mobile is available at no charge to any public school in our service area of Palm Beach (Boynton Beach, north), Martin, St. Lucie and Hendry Counties. It is one of our most impactful programs and is literally delivered to each school’s campus for 1-3 days for an “adult for a day” simulation.

JA BizTown Mobile is a milestone event for the lucky students who get to experience the program. Each JA BizTown citizen, just like each one of us, has a role that’s important to make the community work and the economy run efficiently. It’s an experience they will remember for a lifetime with lessons that will help throughout their life. During the 2019-20 school year we are striving to serve 4,000 kids through JA BizTown Mobile.
