RESOURCES
April Is National Volunteer Month!
It’s well understood that volunteering can have a positive impact on organizations receiving help, but did you know volunteering also has an economic and business impact?

According to a recent SCORE report, volunteering has an estimated economic value of $167 billion dollars. And volunteering can help individual workers who get involved, too. About 60% of hiring managers see volunteering as a valuable asset when recruiting, giving those who volunteer regularly a 27% better chance of getting a job.

Even better - getting involved in volunteer efforts can actually help grow your business, too. Want to learn more about the impact of volunteering on a business? Click the link below to read our full article.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

Ways Diversity and Inclusion Will Change in 2021
By Amber Cabral for FastCompany.com
The year 2020 brought staggering changes to many workplaces around the United States. The COVID-19 pandemic led to major growth in remote work. The protests of summer 2020 around racial inequality encouraged many businesses to double down on their efforts to boost diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within their companies.

As we look ahead to how these efforts will continue and evolve in 2021, one thing is clear: how a company handles DEI has a direct impact on their bottom line.

According to this article from Fast Company, consumer loyalty is tied closely to perceived company values. Now, more than ever before, consumers are paying attention to where brands and businesses stand on social issues - and they’re more likely to spend with businesses whose values align with their own.

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT
Pressed For Time Mobile Cafe - Derry, NH
Owner: Eddie Sargent

Eddie Sargent first started working in the restaurant business when he was just 9 years old, helping out at his great aunt and uncle’s restaurant. He loved the experience of meeting new people and hearing how much they enjoyed their meal. A trip to Paris with his wife reminded hi of that experience, and how much food can bring people together. As they explored the city’s famous cafes and restaurants, they realized there was no language barrier when it came to good food. And after that trip Eddie knew he wanted to be part of the restaurant business again.

Today, he is the owner of Pressed For Time mobile cafe, a food truck serving up delicious and unique breakfast sandwiches, lunch, coffee and desserts. Eddie aims to think outside of the box when it comes to food. The mobile cafe offers one-of-a-kind breakfast options like the Squealing Scramble, featuring thick cut applewood smoked bacon, maple glazed sausage, Black Forest ham, sweet potato, egg, multiple cheeses and topped with sriracha aioli. For lunch, their grilled cheese with blackberry spread, bacon and jalapeño is a best-selling favorite.

To visit Pressed For Time Cafe in person, find them most days at 129 Rockingham Road Derry NH (near Seacoast Sport Cycle) or visit them online at www.pressedfortimecoffee.com.
