Year 1 Resident Educator Consortium Site

Thanks to all who attended the first RE Year 1 session. Your attention and participation was appreciated. We look forward to working with you in the upcoming sessions. Be sure to mark your calendar now for your next session. The next RE Year 1 session will be on Wednesday, October 19 from 4:30-6:00pm via Zoom. The Zoom link for the meeting will be posted on the Google Site approximately 24 hours prior to the meeting, and you will receive an email as well.

What You Should Be Doing Now

Resident educators should be working collaboratively with their mentor on the requirements listed below:

Getting to know your mentor and setting up a schedule/routine to meet regularly

Determine a way to communicate with your mentor (Google Doc, email, etc.) when you have concerns or questions outside of your regular meeting times

Completing the Self Assessment Summary - using the Continuum for Teacher Development - and then reflecting on your summary with your mentor to help in determining your yearly goals for your Professional Growth Plan

Remember to use a form of the Collaborative Log to guide your conversations and document your progress each time you meet with your mentor
