WHAT'S NEW

ALWAYS AVAILABLE ANTI-RACISM TITLES
We are happy to announce that we have made a selection of titles concerning race and social justice available without holds through our shared Peninsula Library System OverDrive collection. There are no wait times, so you can take action immediately.

JOIN THE GIRLS* CHANGE-MAKING TASKFORCE

Discuss and share your lived experience in the midst of a global social justice uprising and viral pandemic. We will learn to break down toxic media messages and provide tools and guidance to reconstruct stories that are more empowering to women. All participants will receive a stipend. To join the conversation, GO HERE . Applications are due July 5. In partnership with About-Face.org

Girls* refers to any and all self-identified teen girls, trans girls, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and gender expansive youth. We recognize folx exploring their gender, particularly at this age, and honor that in this space.

FREE NO FIREWORKS LAWN SIGNS
In an effort to curb the use of illegal fireworks in Redwood City, lawn signs are available for pick-up at the Downtown Library. If you are coming for Curbside Pickup or drop-off, look for the free signs in front of the bookdrop. Feel free to grab one and spread the word!

Fourth of July is just around the corner, and although it will look different this year due to COVID-19, fireworks are still illegal. Using personal fireworks could lead to fires, personal harm, or other emergencies. Please help protect our community and your safety. Learn more at  www.redwoodcity.org/nofireworks
