What will your Beam of Hope say?

Dear   ,
We are pleased to welcome future homeowner, Chimere Jones and her two sons to the growing Habitat family!

A wall-raising ceremony for this first time home- buyer will be taking place on Saturday, July 18th.  It will be Habitat's 62nd home build and taking place in the city of Perry.  Ms. Jones is excited to see her long-awaited dream of homeownership finally become a reality.  Growing up in a single parent household, she recounts her family moving 19 times and living in motels, by the time she was 17 years old.
In her words, "It hasn't been easy. I look back sometimes, and think how hard it must have been for my mom. I can relate to some of her struggles and difficulties."

Thankfully, a beam of hope has come her way and the dream of homeownership will soon become reality.  This is all possible because of Habitat donors and volunteers who are making a difference in Houston County.

Habitat is pleased to welcome NFL player, Casey Hayward of the Los Angeles Chargers to Saturday's volunteer lineup.  Mr. Hayward, a Perry native, is looking forward to building alongside Chimere and giving back to the community he truly loves. During Saturday's wall-raising ceremony, he will be presenting a check for $15,000 towards this build on behalf of the Hayward's Hands and the NFL Foundations!

Mr. Hayward will be in great company, as a representative from our long-time premium sponsor, Parrish Construction will also be presenting a check for $25,000.  Parrish owner, Dave Cyr , and his wife, Mary, also made a personal donation of $10,000!

Special thanks to all our contributing sponsors including
Parrish Construction Group and  NFL player Casey Hayward of Hayward's Hands who are helping to make this dream possible!

We also celebrate our gift-in-kind sponsors providing building materials, skilled labor and services: Buzzell Plumbing, Heating & Air, Cingo, Griffin Lumber & Hardware, Hoke's Heating & Air, BCI Insulation, Valspar, Schneider Electric, Southern Lighting, Super Sod, The Floor Store, All-State Electrical, ServPro, Warner Robins Supply, Whirlpool, Cornerstone Cabinets, Reames Concrete,  Doug Bovee Construction, Rightway Drywall, Inc., Upshaw General Contracting and Roofing, Lou Ausherman, Dave and Mary Cyr, and individuals who are eager to show the power of community.

VETERAN RECEIVES DONATION OF SERVICE FOR NEW ROOF
Middle Georgia resident, Don Eiland, a veteran of the United States Air Force, had a problem: his roof was in need of repair. Though he has worked in construction and knows the construction business inside and out, Eiland said, he was unable to repair the issues himself due to disabilities. After seeking assistance in other places, Eiland said that he was put in contact with Cheryl Glover of Houston County Habitat for Humanity.
