Hi LSRCC members and local businesses,

The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted significant policy changes at all levels. We're here to catch you up and support business in Lincoln Square and Ravenswood.  Please see our COVID-19 Business Resources  website for a comprehensive list of resources to aid your business during this time.
Phase 4 to Begin June 26th

This morning, we learned that Chicago will move into Phase 4 of reopening on Friday, June 26th. Although this is the same day as the state, Chicago businesses will be responsible for following Chicago guidance, not state guidance on phase 4. This is because the city's guidance is a little more strict due to the more dense nature of our communities.

Please see industry-specific guidance at the city's website, chicago.gov/reopening

Some of the highlights include:
  • Restaurants and bars allowed 25% capacity indoor seating in addition to any outdoor seating currently allowed
    • up to 50 people per room/floor (not counting staff)
    • patrons do not have to wear masks while seated
  • Movie theaters, performance venues, or event spaces allowed 25% capacity or 50 per room
  • Retail maintains current levels
    • 25% capacity for non-essential retail
    • 50% capacity for essential retail

During Phase 4, the limit for indoor gatherings will be 50, and 100 for outdoor gatherings. When the number of new infections per day decreases below 100 (it is currently in the 160s), Chicago will then be able to progress to 100 and 200-people limits for indoor and outdoor gatherings, respectively.
