Tomorrow, we celebrate the life and legacy of one of the nation’s greatest champions for racial and economic justice, Vernon E. Jordan, Jr.
Vernon, who died last week at the age of 85, served as Executive Director and President of the National Urban League from 1971 to 1981. He was a transformational leader who brought the movement into a new era. The National Urban League would not be where it is today without Vernon Jordan. His passing leaves a tremendous void that can never be filled.
Please join me, the Jordan family and others whose lives have been touched as we gather virtually to honor his memory.
The memorial service will stream live on nul.org/vernonjordan, beginning at 11:00AM ET.
Thank you,
