Route 131
Modified Service

In October 2020, LBT temporarily suspended service on Route 131, which runs along Redondo Avenue, as part of LBT’s COVID-19 modified service. Based on customer feedback provided to our Customer Care team, LBT will be introducing modified service on Route 131 beginning Monday, March 15, 2021.

Key features of the Route 131 Modified Service:

  • The route will run between the Wardlow Station and Ocean Boulevard at 39th Place, it will not continue to Belmont Shore and Seal Beach.
  • Customers can still connect to Belmont Shore on Route 121 and Seal Beach on Route 171.
  • Operating hours for the Route 131 Modified Service are 8:30 a.m. to 4:23 p.m., weekdays only.

For more information regarding the modified service on Route 131, visit ridelbt.com/routes. You can also contact our Customer Care team at 562.591.2301, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

We value your feedback, so please share any comments or questions you have on our service by calling us or submitting a comment on our contact form.

Earthquake Preparedness

One of LBT’s top priorities is the safety of our customers, whether on the bus or at home. The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Don’t Get Caught Off Guard campaign is a critical resource for earthquake preparedness. While earthquakes are largely unpredictable, there are recommended actions you can take to protect yourself in case of one.

Download the free MyShake app for audio and visual warnings before an earthquake, giving subscribers crucial seconds to find cover. The app is available for both iPhone and Android users.

Celebrating Our Diverse Community

We hope you followed us on social media throughout February as we shared the stories of innovative leaders in the Black community that have made an impact on transit, local Black-owned businesses and the stories of some of our own LBT team members.

Visit our Instagram page to see clips of LBT employees sharing what Black History Month means to them. Long Beach Local News also interviewed one of our Transit Operations Supervisors, Bruce McCall, on a non-profit he created to serve his community. Watch here! You can learn more about Bruce in our Employee Spotlight below, too.
Operator Appreciation Day

It’s Operator Appreciation Day on Thursday, March 18! LBT Operators have kept the community moving, even during these unprecedented times. If you are riding with LBT on March 18, we invite you to let your Operator know you appreciate them by saying Thank You!
Let's move forward. Get your shot.

When it's your turn, please choose to get vaccinated for the health of yourself, your family, and your community. Stay up to date on the status of vaccine distribution in Long Beach so you can find your shot when the time comes.
