HOW ARE WE DOING?
We definitely have optimism and hope! Yes, due to performance cancellations we lost over $50,000. HOWEVER - we were able to pay all of our artists through their contract year and ALL of them signed contracts for the 20-21 season.
An amazing validation and faith in the future.
A message from Carla Amancio.
We weren't able to present our April 3 concert, but WE WERE able to stream online interviews, warm-up and a look at what we would have presented. Works weren't completed, we were missing dancers and 2 more weeks of rehearsals ... STILL we were able to document and present new works with positive responses.
I promise, we get right side up fairly quickly in the shoot!
WHAT'S NEXT?
We're looking forward to celebrating our 55th Anniversary Season as a Florida based professional ballet company - one of the South's premier touring companies based in Gainesville, FL.
First up - BALLET & BEYOND as it should be presented ... talented choreographers, composer, videographer, costume designer, light designer and the gifted artist/dancers of Dance Alive National Ballet. A spectacular evening!

In November, REQUIEM, a new exquisite work in collaboration with the orchestra and chorus of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church - a true gift to the community.

December brings the beloved family favorite NUTCRACKER as well as a special performance for special needs children. More about that later.

And finally, CARMINA BURANA with University of Florida orchestra under the direction of Maestro Raymond Chobaz, chorus and guest artists. This spectacular work is an audience favorite that always brings an audience to its feet. It is our pleasure to bring CARMINA BURANA to you for our 55th Anniversary Season.
