We recently notified you about our $3 million Provider Assistance Program to help cover expenses relating to re-opening of offices and new health and safety protocols. We want to pass along some additional details as we prepare to send the payments. 

  • Only active Delta Dental of Virginia network dentists will receive payments. 
  • The amount of payment will be based on Delta Dental of Virginia claim volume in the months of January and February, before the effects of the pandemic became evident.
  • All payments will be mailed via check to the practice location. This will be a one-time payment and dentists can anticipate receiving it during the month of June.
  • Payments will be sent using the same method as claim payments one payment per unique location, not by provider. Delta Dental of Virginia will not suggest how multiple providers in one location should divide the payment.
 
We realize the need is greater than our ability to single-handedly solve, but we hope these funds will help cover some expenses in the short-term. Please keep an eye on your mailbox. Thanks again for all you're doing to protect and improve oral health in Virginia.
