The unprecedented season of the COVID pandemic followed quickly by the loud outcry against injustice in our country have given the people of God much to pray and lament over. During this prolonged season of crisis and now protest, I have been encouraged to hear Missio graduates and students stepping forward to love their neighbors with acts of service and cries for justice.
This prayer meeting was begun in March as a means to call the Missio network of believers to join in praying for the immediate needs arising under the unknowns of COVID while we were scattered under Stay At Home orders by the governor. While an awareness of the need to pray for the work we are each called to do has been amplified by the distress around us, the returning of our area to routine work schedules reduces the opportunity for us to gather virtually. Thanks for your participation in this prayer call—It is has blessed my soul in a time when my soul needed blessing.
