This grant program will provide $10,000 grants to eligible small businesses in:
Low-to-moderate income (LMI) areas as defined here
The Morris Park BID district is eligible to apply except for the 3 blocks on Morris Park Ave between Radcliff Ave and Hone Ave, and the 2 blocks on the North side of Morris Park Ave, between Haight Ave and Williamsbridge Ave.
Businesses who would like to apply for the grant must:
  • Have been in operation before October 1, 2019
  • Demonstrate revenue loss between 2019 and 2020
  • Not have received a federal grant from the Shuttered Venues Operators Grant program or the Restaurant Revitalization Fund.

NY State Mask Mandate in Public Places
Effective December 13th
Effective Monday December 13th, masks are required to be worn in all indoor public places unless businesses or venues implement a vaccine requirement.

The mandate broadly defines “indoor public place” as “any indoor space that is not a private residence”— including all office spaces. Employers with office space that currently do not require proof of vaccination are required, under the mandate, to ensure that employees, regardless of their vaccination status, are masked at all times.

Under this mandate, businesses may not mix and match approaches, but instead must select either the vaccination requirement or the mask mandate for all employees, visitors, patrons, and service providers.
This mandate will remain in effect until January 15, 2022.
Key to NYC Updates & Vaccine Mandate
for Private Employers
Key to NYC Updates & Vaccine Mandate for Private Employers – Last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced major expansions to the “Key to NYC” program, the first-in-nation vaccination mandate for workers and customers at indoor dining, fitness, entertainment and performance venues.
Children aged 5-11 are now required to show proof of one vaccination dose for those venues.
Starting December 27, 2021, New Yorkers aged 12 and older will be required to show proof of two vaccine doses, instead of one, except for those who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The mayor also announced a first-in-the-nation vaccine mandate for private-sector workers, which will take effect on December 27, 2021, will apply to roughly 184,000 businesses.
Acceptable proof of vaccination includes a CDC issued vaccination card, the New York State Excelsior Pass, the Clear Health Pass, and the NYC COVID Safe App. The NYC COVID Safe App has been updated to allow parents to save vaccine information for their children.
