will include short hikes, crafts and nature play. 
Naturally Artistic November will get your creativity
flowing! Dress to be outside for part of the

Wild winter adventures await you! Play polar
games, try wintry science experiments, make
cool crafts and meet many animals who enjoy
snow. Come prepared for an outdoor hike,
weather permitting. Snowpants recommended.



Family Field Trips - Fresh Air Hike
Ages 2+

Is the hustle and bustle of the season getting to your crew? Take a hike and allow the fresh air to reset your system. Dress to be outside for just the right balance of getting the wiggles out and slowing down for a bit. Registration is for a family group of up to four individuals.

 
Family Field Trip - New Year's Day Hike
Ages 2+

Get 2021 started off on the right foot! Pull on
your snow pants and lace up your boots for a
relaxing paced hike with the cool crisp air along
the winter trails. Registration is for a family
group of up to four individuals.

Get outside for some fresh air, the joy of
exploration and the need to move. Spend part of
the afternoon on the trails as nature provides the
entertainment. Enjoy hikes, games and crafts.
Masks required when physical distancing cannot
be maintained. Dress for the weather.

Self-Guided Programs:
$15 for 1-day use of
curriculum and materials, used on- or off-site

Programs scheduled on a first-come, first served basis

Naturalists assistance for individual scouts working on Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards or an Eagle Scout Rank

The Hickory Knolls Discovery Center is a 10,500 sq. ft. building featuring a spacious lobby that soars more than 20 feet in height, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of the oak savanna just outside the doors. Audio visual technology and wifi available. Access to nature center exhibits and grounds including native gardens and more than 130 acres of natural areas. 
Available weekdays, evenings and weekends. Kitchen available at an additional fee.
