Check out the newest live-action movie starring Disney's animal print obsessed villain. Set during the 1970s punk rock revolution in London, the story follows a clever and creative young grifter named Estella, who is determined to become a successful designer.

This movie is rate PG-13 and has a runtime of 134 minutes. 

This free program is for tweens and teens entering grades 6-12. No sign up is required.

Summer Tie Dye

Children's Program Room

Tuesday, August 9 at 2pm

Create your own unique shirt with tie dye. We'll have the dye, you supply your own shirt or other white cotton item (tote bag, bandana, etc). We'll have a variety of dye colors and show you different techniques you can do. At the end of the session you'll take home your dyed item and an instruction sheet for finishing the process. Dye may get on your clothing, so please dress accordingly. 

All supplies BUT the item to dye will be provided. You can bring up to two items to dye per registered teen.

This program is for tweens and teens entering grades 6-12. Registration is required.

Returning to the Moon - and What Comes Next

2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the final Apollo missions to the Moon. And as we look back on the last crewed missions beyond Earth, we look forward to the beginning of a new series of missions (called Artemis) that will take us back to the Lunar surface as we prepare to send a new generation of astronauts on missions to other planets in the solar system. Join JPA/NASA Solar System Ambassador M.J. Johnson for a discussion of the state of crewed missions to space. Afterwards, stick around for telescopic views of Saturn, the Moon, and more! (Weather permitting.)

This discussion does not require a technical background, is open to all ages, and should be accessible to broad audiences with an interest in space exploration. Sign up is required.

Onward Movie Night

Come watch Disney and Pixar's movie starring two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot. They get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad and embark on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley's epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles, and unimaginable discoveries.

This movie is rated PG and has a runtime of 102 minutes.

Manga Book Club

This month we'll be discussing the first three volumes of "The Girl from the Other Side" series by Nagabe. Be sure to stop by the Teen Room prior to the meeting to pick up copies of the books to read.
