We Need You!
As we continue our
weekly
Online Worship Experience,
we truly need your help. We are requesting additional, very brief videos for various parts of our Worship. Having you participate ensures that we have a warm, member inclusive worship we can all share.
Here are some ways you can lend a hand:
- Passing of the Peace: simply film yourself saying "peace be with you"
- Acolytes: we'd love to see our kids but all ages are great!
- Windchimes: Do you have a set of windchimes? You can just take a video of the chimes being rung and then step out of the picture. You can continue to film and just let the chimes continue for as long as possible before turning off the camera.
- Liturgists: We have added some additional slots for the coming summer weeks. Please see below in CUMC Outreach to sign up!
Please note that our recordings are due on Tuesdays before the coming weekend.
To submit a video or if you have any questions, please contact:

Dear Church Family,
It’s been over a month since Frank’s brother,
Joe Fillimon
, passed away from COVID-19 complications. We wanted to thank you all for your prayers, phone calls, cards, emails, and texts that we have received during this very sad time, and to let you know how much comfort your kind-heartedness has and continues to give us. We take one day at a time, to face the loss we feel, and the precious memories that Frank, his sister Rosemary, and Jane, Joe’s wife, share remind us how lucky we were to have Joe in our lives.
With great appreciation,
Frank & Chris Fillimon

The scriptures and prayers that are being shared this week are below:
Scripture:
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes
for us with sighs too deep for words. Romans 8:26
Sighing…
No words…
The Spirit understands,
and prays for us,
with us,
through us anyway…
We are invited to simply trust…and be present to the Presence.
We are in a global pandemic
There are expressions of global longing for justice
When we listen with the ears of our hearts we hear global sighing…
Let us pray a global prayer sent out today from the World Council of Churches:
God of life,
you have promised to be with us every day,
also in difficult days, like in times like these.
Give us clarity in our minds,
strength in our work and discernment,
rest as we sleep,
peace in our minds.
Be with those who need help more than we do ourselves.
Help us to see what we can offer from your love.
Sung Prayer: From The Faith We Sing # 2193
Lord, listen to your children praying.
Lord, send your spirit in this place.
Lord, listen to your children praying.
Send us power.
Send us love.
Send us grace.
