On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, SFIC Executive Director Michael Pappas moderated a panel discussion at the Commonwealth Club of California's Middle East Forum entitled "The Importance of Interfaith Understanding." Participating panelists were:
 
Mahjabeen Dhala, a religious motivational speaker, who is pursuing a doctorate at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU); the Rt. Reverend William Swing, President and Founding Trustee of United Religions Initiative (URI), and Sam Berrin Shonkoff, Ph.D., assistant professor of Jewish studies at GTU.
