Dear Seniors and Families,

You all have been exceptionally patient as we worked to craft a meaningful and safe graduation for the Class of 2020 under continuously changing circumstances. We have looked at many scenarios, including the Lindland Theatre, Mayer Family Field, and other locations where our seniors and their families could gather together safely while preserving many of Riordan's graduation traditions.

Ultimately we are bound by local guidelines on health and safety. Please read below for our graduation plan which has two parts: graduation addresses which will take place virtually, followed by individual conferral of diplomas at Riordan. While this was not our first choice, we will do everything in our power to make this as special as possible for the Class of 2020.

Graduation Details for June 27

Commencement Addresses - 10:00 am
  • 10:00 am - Graduation speeches by Riordan Leadership and Michael Gray. A link to this will be emailed next week and posted to Riordan's website.
Individual Conferral of Diplomas - Starting at 12:45 pm
  • There will be a special ceremonial site in front of school.
  • Families are asked to arrive in one car, and the graduate will be invited up to receive his diploma.
  • We will be sending detailed instructions about procedures and times early next week (we will have two time slots starting at 12:45 pm and 1:30 pm).
Video and Photography
  • A link will be provided next week for those that would like to tune into the graduation remotely.
  • We will have a professional photographer on hand to capture your son receiving his diploma.

We again thank you for your patience, and look forward to celebrating this milestone with you on June 27.

Sincerely,

Dr. Andrew Currier
President
