State of Arkansas
Arkansas is seeing another spike in COVID-19 cases in the state, with the number of cases and hospitalizations approaching their highest points.

In the last 24 hours Arkansas saw the number of cases go up by 151, with one of those being in the prison system and the rest being in the general community.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson said that Arkansas has hit its testing goal of 60,000 in May over the weekend. He said the state's positivity rate so far has been 3.3 percent. He said that a month ago, models were predicting 8,000 infections at this point. Currently, the total number of COVID-19 cases is 6,180. New models have predicted Arkansas will hit the 8,500 number on June 23.

Of the 6,180 cases, 1,729 are active. Of those active cases, 72 are in nursing homes, 466 in correctional facilities and the rest are in the community. Arkansas is near its record high for COVID-19 hospitalizations at 107 people hospitalized and 18 on vents. So far, 119 people have died in the state.

Hutchinson said that the state remains in Phase 1 of reopening. He said that people will need to be disciplined in regards to social distancing and wearing masks in order to move to Phase 2 faster. Right now, though, the state is trending upward in cases.

The Saint at Isabella to close
The Saint at Isabella restaurant will close after Friday. The following is a note from the Saint's owner:

We want to sincerely thank all of our loyal patrons who have supported us these last few years!  Unfortunately, due to several combined factors (Covid19 first and foremost) we have decided to close our doors at The Saint at Isabella. Our last day will be Friday May 29.

We hope that you will continue to support whoever replaces us at Isabella, and our other restaurant (Melinda's) as we will continue expanding there.  We also plan to add some of the popular items from The Saint to Melinda's menu.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to serve you at the Isabella Golf Club.
