Checking In - My Summer Reading List
Summer comes luscious as amber and honey.
 ~ Steve Wilson

We are having an amber-and-honey kind of week here in eastern Massachusetts right now. And while there will be no beach-going or pool-sitting (for the immediate future anyway) because of the coronavirus, I am planning on getting some luscious reading done in these next few months. Here's a few books on my TBR (to be read) shelf right now:

The House by the Sea , by May Sarton
This I Know , by Eldonna Edwards
Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood , by Rebecca Wells (AGAIN!)
Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows , by Balli Kaur Jaswal

If you've read any of these, let me know and we'll compare notes!

Also, I'm curious to know what's on your TBR list for the summer.
UPDATE : Dragonflies at Night

Do you have 9/22/20 circled on your calendar? I know I do! That's the date that my new women's novel soars (get it?) onto bookshelves near and far.

This past month I've been working with an online book promotion agency to get a campaign underway for marketing my book this fall.

Plus I've spread the word about this fabulous little newsletter, given away more copies of my novella, All You Need is Love...and Lilacs (let me know if you don't have your copy yet), and created some really cool memes to get people excited about Dragonflies, and also Lilacs.

I am also working on writing the short book description and bio that goes on the back cover, and finding bloggers who blog about women's fiction.

Ah yes, a novelist's work is never done!
Behind the Scenes
Read more about the process of getting Dragonflies at Night from the heart of my imagination and into print - over on my Inky Blessings blog.

Here are 3 recent short posts that I think you'll enjoy:

This is Dedicated... - No, not the touching 1959 song by the Shirells! This short blog is about my fascination with book dedications, some of my favorite dedications, and also a sneak peak at who I'm dedicating Dragonflies at Night to.

It's a Library Thing- If you've ever fallen in love with (or in!) a library, you'll love this story.

My First Novel, age 12- That's right, at the tender age of 12 I wrote a 40-page novel as part of my English teacher's "write a short story" assignment. He wasn't expecting what I came up with! But it was my first idea that I could actually be "a writer."

I hope that you and yours are continuing to stay grounded, grateful, and safe,
