From Nancy Patterson:
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all well and doing fine during these unusual times. There seems to be a little light at the end of the tunnel.
The COVID-19 Task Force has started preparations for returning to In Person services at St. James'. There is a lot to be done before we can gather together again. The Task Force is studying the report from Bishop Brown that contains all the required procedures we have to follow. We are required to be in compliance with the State's and the Bishop's restrictions. At this time the Task Force is reviewing everything and preparing the St. James' Certification Plan to be submitted to the Bishop's office for approval. We cannot return to services without that approval.
When certification of our plan is received, we will schedule Zoom Training Sessions for all ushers and greeters. At this time we would like you to let us know if you are willing to serve as an usher or greeter. Serving is not mandatory and we do not want anyone to feel pressured, we want everyone to feel comfortable. Please give this a great deal of thought. If you have any health concerns please consult your doctor for advice. Your health and well being are our main concerns.
For the foreseeable future St. James' will hold only one service each Sunday. As a result of all the mandatory guidelines, we will need two ushers and two greeters at each service. The Task Force is in the process of preparing detailed instructions for ushers and greeters.
To let us know if you want to serve, or if you have any questions or concerns, please reply to this email or contact the Church office.
Task Force members are:
Fr. Kim Capwell, Valerie Brunson, Jerry Clark, Eileen Marvel, Nancy Patterson, and Bruce Vrana.
As Barry Coverdale does not have email, I will mail a copy of this email to him.
Thank you for all you do for St. James.
Peace,
Nancy Patterson
