Crime in the Neighborhood

Supervisor Stefani ~ Town Hall
Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 5pm

From the Supervisor:

Over the past several weeks, our neighborhoods have seen a rash of residential burglaries, car break-ins, and gun-related incidents.
This cannot continue.

I have invited Police Chief Bill Scott, Northern Station Captain Paul Yep, and Richmond Station Captain Bill Conley to a virtual town hall on public safety in our community. I hope you will join us on Thursday, December 17, at 5:00 pm.

I hope to see you next week!
Warm regards,
Catherine

NOTE: CHA will be posting a piece in our next edition on the crime situation on the north side and suggested home protection resources.

Supporting Our Local Food Establishments
We love our local eateries -- it's part of what makes living in Cow Hollow wonderful. Sadly, the pandemic has hit them hard. Many have closed and others have barely held on by investing in outdoor seating. This latest shelter-in-place order (in effect until at least January 4th) sets them back further with no ability to serve customers inside or outside. They will now be completely reliant on take out and delivery orders.

We thought it would be helpful to have a list of food establishments in Cow Hollow that are open during this time, their contact information and hours of service. Please consider supporting them so they will be here when we are finally past this difficult time.

If you are aware of changes, including deletions and additions, please contact us at info@cowhollowassociation.org so that we can update the list.

Let’s work to keep up our local businesses open this holiday season!

Understanding How Prop 19 Impacts Your Family
Tuesday, January 5, 2021

From the Assessor's Office:

At the Assessor's Office, we understand that planning for a secure financial future is a top priority for San Francisco families, especially during these uncertain times.

On Nov 3, 2020, CA voters passed Prop 19, "The Home Protection for Seniors, Severely Disabled, Families and Victims of Wildfire or Natural Disasters Act," which makes changes to property tax benefits available to these groups. While this new law mostly expands property tax benefits for these groups, it includes provisions which significantly limit tax benefits for families who plan to pass property from parents to children. In response, our Office is organizing a Digital Family Wealth Workshop to educate San Francisco families about the loss of tax benefits before they go into effect on February 16, 2021.

We hope you will be able to join us for this event and share it with your family and neighbors who may find the information useful for their financial planning.
