Edmond Cornu Bourgogne Rouge Les Barrigards 2019: $35.99
This is a lovely little red from a single vineyard situated near Chorey which captures the essence of this area. The vineyards, averaging thirty years of age, are on the eastern side of the route nationale on a clay and limestone soil with a gravel texture. The Bourgogne “Barrigards” features the high spice tones that are a classic feature of this section of the Cote de Beaune; light, slightly nervy, with an exuberance that makes this a fine companion with birds simply roasted or grilled, sausages on the flame.

Luis Seabra Xisto Ilimitado Branco 2020: $29.99
This wine offers an introduction to the dominant soil type in the Douro valley. Minimal interventionist wine-making. Fresh, mineral driven white that showcases the beautiful schist soil of the Douro. On the nose it features stone and orchard fruit abound, with flinty wet stone and white pepper laid over the dominant aromatics. On the palate, impressively bright and mineral driven, with a great balance between power and lift. Lemon, green apple, pear flavors co-mingle with a touch of floral tone and slate minerals, this wine pairs well with fish and seafood dishes.

The perfect blend of three champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Champagne Thiénot Brut is a wine of great harmony, with roundness and finesse and in its spring-like freshness. Golden in appearance, with a powerful nose with hints of pipped-fruit jam, apples and quince. Rounded and long on the palate, with a succession of apple and pear, fresh-fruit fragrances. Persistent bead of bubbles with a creamy mousse.

Pietroso Brunello di Montalcino 2016 : $74.99
After a long fermentation on the skins the wine is matured for three years in Siavonic oak barrels and kept for at least a further 6 months in bottles before being sold. The wine has an intense but characteristic nose of red fruits and a hint of vanilla. The tannin levels are good and the palate offers ripe black cherry, roasted coffee bean and clove. If it is kept correctly the wine should age well.

Barberani Orvieto Castagnolo 2020: $16.99
This wine is a modern and innovative interpretation of the Orvieto Classico tradition. It has a fruity, intense and complex bouquet on the noseThis wine is the ideal accompaniment for seafood appetisers, first courses, boiled and grilled fish, white meat. It is also an excellent aperitif.

Finca Sabate I Coca Castellroig Brut Reserva NV: $19.99
Unique to the Cava producing region of Penedès, Castellroig represents one of the few 100% family owned, estate run establishments. This Cava has a jasmine aroma with white flower, green apple and citrus fruits. In the mouth it has fine and persistent bubbles. It pairs well with aperitifs, seafood, salads, tapas, and fried chicken.
