College & Career Academies and Pathways (CCAP) Community Engagement Update
The Board of Education received an update on the College & Career Academies and Pathways engagement plan. All community engagement sessions are now complete. A total of 42 in-person and eight virtual sessions were held. A number of sessions were also held with community groups.

Those that were interested in participating in an engagement session were asked to fill out a survey to register and so Omaha Public Schools could gauge their current understanding. Findings from the pre-survey indicate that prior to the engagement meetings, 72.75% of respondents did not really understand the College & Career Academies and Pathways. Following each engagement session, registered participants received a follow up post-survey. On the post-survey, the majority (92.85%) of respondents indicated they were at least moderately knowledgeable about College & Career Academies and Pathways. The post-survey also showed that 77.85% of respondents support components of College & Career Academies and Pathways.

Staff from Curriculum and Instruction Support and Research are now reviewing the open-ended data and working with schools to determine any adjustments that might need to be made to the plan. Staff will present the findings and any adjustments at an August board meeting.
