The Fairfield Public Library is updating its Strategic Plan for
library services and needs input from the community on ways the
library impacts Fairfielders' lives.

Both library patrons and non-users are needed to answer the survey.

If you visit the library, what services do you use? If you're not a patron,
tell us why. Do you check out physical books and movies or do you tend to
download content on your electronic device? Does your child or teenager
participate in our Summer Reading program? Do you participate in virtual
programs via Zoom? What would you like to see the Library offer to the
adults, teens and children of Fairfield?

By answering these and other questions on our online survey
(available through the month of March), residents can help their local library strengthen its vital, always-evolving role in the Fairfield community.

Complete the survey and submit your email address to be entered into a raffle for a Fairfield Community Gift Card.

Over 325 people attended our signature One Book One Town event this past Tuesday, March 2.
Thank you to our sponsors who made this program a reality.
A copy of the recorded program will be available next week.

Here are just a few of the comments from the program with regard to the book
Punching the Air
and
its authors Ibi Zoboi and Dr. Yusef Salaam.

"This was an excellent OBOT book selection!"

"Thank you!! Wonderful book that raises important questions about our justice system. Fascinating to hear the authors talk about their collaboration process and what was changed from his experience in the juvenile center. Many thanks for choosing such a timely book."

"These stories - stories from BIPOC authors- are so vitally important to serve as windows and mirrors for our community members. We have so much to learn and so much work to do to create a more equitable society. Beautiful book choice for this year. Thank you!!"

"Thank you so much. Great and thought provoking book and hearing the authors was so moving and impactful."

"Keep up the great work! This is a fabulous community program. It makes me proud to live in Fairfield! Thank you."
