WHAT'S HAPPENING

COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL SUNDAY

Sunday, April 25th, 9:00 and 11:00am Join us at either service to welcome our guest speaker,Gilbert Mfitundinda, alumni from Compassion International. There will be a booth outside at the 9:00am service and one in the Narthex before and after the 11:00am service. We will be offering you the opportunity to sponsor a child so you may impact a child's life similar to Gilbert's experience. If you're unable to attend the services this week but would like more information on becoming a sponsor you can click here to get more information on Compassion International sponsorships.

KIDS TOWN RODEO/AMAZINGRACE

Sunday, May 16th, 3:00-6:00pm Join Us for a community wide event for the whole family benefiting the missions ministries of AUMC! Activities include a Kids Town Trike/Bike Rodeo, AmazinGRace, music, food and awards. You can even bring your dog!! (must be current on vaccines and leashed). Here's a timeline for the event: 3:00 KIds Town Rodeo registration (2-5 year olds for tricycles, 6-6th grade for bikes) 3:15 Kids Town Rodeo 3:30 Kids Town Rodeo drawing for the two grand prizes 3:45 kids run 4:00 AmazinGRace 4:30 Food, Music, Dog Area at the Youth Sports Court 5:00 Awards Participants may follow this link for registration to the race and other events. SUMMER MISSION TRIP Summer is coming up fast and that means mission trip is coming June 13th-18th to Temple, Texas! All youth are invited to participate in this trip. If you are an adult who is willing to step up and volunteer that week please email Student Ministries along with your application form and deposit of $50. The student application form, medical release and deposit of $75 are due by May 15th to Chris. Adult Application Student Application Medical Release STUDENT INFORMATION For anyone who could not attend our Student Ministries meeting last Sunday, please fill out this Family Information form. Please return it to the Quad or mail it to P.O. Box 126, Aledo, Texas. This will give Chris a head start to knowing how to best partner with your family to help grow your son's/daughter's relationship with God!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

July 18th-22nd, 5:30-8:15pm  VBS is back in person and online. Your help is needed to make this a bigger and better VBS!!! To volunteer or donate needed items visit the VBS table in the Narthex or click here to sign up online.

EASTER YARD SIGN RETURN

If you took a yard sign home for Easter at AUMC, and you haven't trashed it yet, please return it to the church so we can use the materials in other ministries.

HOW TO HELP

BUILDING UP OUR TEAM

Do you have a musical gift to share? Full music in worship will be coming soon so consider getting involved in our Worship and Arts Ministry. We’re now recruiting musicians and singers for Contemporary worship (9 a.m.) and Traditional worship chancel choir (11 a.m.). Contact Lane Davis for more information. Not so musically talented but want to be involved in the production side? Suzy is looking for helpers to run the soundboard, lights, and/or screens for in-person services. Join her on a Sunday morning to shadow her and learn the ropes. Contact Suzy to sign up or get more info.

SCHOOL PRAYER SUPPORT MINISTRY We have schools not covered in prayer for May. Sign up sheets can be found at the Connection Center or email the church office .

NURSERY SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sundays,10:00-11:00am Our KidsTown Nursery is now open for the Sunday School hour. This is for children aged 0-5 years. We are hoping to be able to extend this time, but this hinges on having volunteers and vaccinated people available. If you are able to support this ministry please email Teresa Chisum.
