Registration is now open for the 2021 Saskatchewan Library Association Annual General Meeting. It will take place Thursday, May 6th 10:00 am - 12:00 pm via Zoom.

SLA Learning Opportunities Series Continues

Register now for the final presentation in our four-part, online Learning Opportunities Series. Speakers Helen Power (University of Saskatchewan) and Chau Ha (Saskatchewan Polytechnic) will present "Creating a Library Community of Practice" - a discussion on determining scope, facilitation and assessment, based on literature review and experience of the presenters.

April 30th Deadline for Proposals for
SLA - MLA Joint Conference 2021

Deadline to submit proposals for the upcoming SLA - MLA Joint Conference is April 30, 2021. All submissions that support the conference theme, mandates of MLA and SLA, libraries, or librarianship, are welcome. Criteria for presentations is as follows:
  • This is a virtual conference and all conference programming must be delivered virtually. 
  • Presentations and lightning talks will be prerecorded for delivery and it would be required that the speakers be present for their Q&A.
  • Conference sessions can or may include
  • Presentations – 25 mins.
  • Panels – 50 mins.
  • Lightning Talks – 5-10 mins.
  • Interactive Workshops – 90-120 mins.
