Each QP18 pack contains all twelve of these very delicious wines:

Capture
"Innovant" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
95/100 - Jeb Dunnuck (5/21/2020) "Checking in as 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot all from the Alden Park Vineyard in the Alexander Valley, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Innovant saw an extended maceration and aging in 40% new French oak. It has a terrific nose of blue and black fruits as well as classic Cabernet tobacco, bay leaf, violets, graphite, and crushed rock-like minerality. Rich and concentrated on the palate, yet light on its feet and elegant, this thrillingly pure Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will evolve for 15-20 years or more. Drinking window: 2020 - 2040." (California)

Ghiomo
"Lavai" Barbera d'Alba 2019
Simply put, this wine rocks! We are thrilled to have it back in stock.
91+/100 - Our Score (12/2020) This perennial Vin Chicago favorite is better than ever. The 2019 Lavai is deliciously focused, pure and precise - with flavors of bright cherry, red plum, strawberry, ripe raspberry, lavender, leather, a bit of peppery spice and loads of refreshing minerality. Pair it with your favorite pizza, pasta or even tacos. This vintage is truly one of the better we've had and is bound to win over a legion of new fans! (Italy)

Catena
Mendoza Malbec 2018
91/100 - Wine Advocate (10/31/2019)
94/100 - James Suckling (2/20/2019)
90/100 - Vinous, Stephen Tanzer (9/2019) "Good dark red. Slightly reduced aromas of black cherry and raspberry lifted by a floral note. More reserved and serious than the 2017 version, with its red and black fruit and violet flavors showing a light touch for the price. This is not a particularly black style of Malbec. Very juicy and ultimately pliant, finishing with light tannins and noteworthy energy. Vigil vinified this wine with 50% whole clusters, which he described as "perfect for structure" - Drinking Window: 2020 - 2025." (Argentina)

Domaine Durieu
Côtes-du-Rhone Rouge 2017
89/100 - Jeb Dunnuck (8/6/2019) "Deeply colored, the 2017 Cotes Du Rhone offers up a terrific bouquet of black raspberries, ground pepper, sappy garrigue and spring flowers. Possessing a solid sense of freshness and elegance, medium body, ripe tannins, and a great finish, it's another delicious, thoroughly satisfying Cotes Du Rhone from this terrific vintage." (France)

Sean Minor
"Four Bears" California Pinot Noir 2019
88/100 - Our Score (5/2021) This latest rendition of Sean Minor's "4B" Pinot Noir is sourced from vineyard sites throughout the North and Central Coast areas of California. Showing super fresh notes of raspberry, dark cherry, violets and barrel spice, it has ample body and acidity to pair with almost anything you can throw at it! (California)

Mary Taylor
Douro Tinto 2016
90+/100 - Our Score (9/2020) Sourcing quality wines from various European wine regions, Mary Taylor is a one-person broker/importer/ambassador. This is our second vintage working with her Douro red, a deliciously rugged blend of 60% Touriga Nacional, 20% Tinta Roriz and 20% Touriga Franca. As with all Douro reds worth their salt, this bottling tempts with floral accented black fruit, a soft entry and a chewy, earthy finish. Bring out the meat, please. Nice job, Mary! (Portugal)

Domaine Paul Prieur & Fils
Sancerre 2019
92/100 - Our Score (2/2021) Here's a wonderfully classic Sancerre from the south-facing slopes of Domaine Paul Prieur. Packed with chalk, minerality and fleshy ripe orchard and citrus fruits - including green and red apple, yellow pear and white peach - this 100% Sauvignon Blanc is brisk and tense with well-placed, electrifying acidity. Delicious! (France)

A.J. Adam
"Im Pfarrgarten" Mosel Riesling Feinherb 2019
90/100 - Wine Advocate (10/30/2020) "The 2019 Riesling Feinherb im Pfarrgarten is from a former orchard with deep gardening soils that always have enough water and whose 50-year-old vines bring stunning Rieslings, especially in warm and dry years. The 2019 opens with an intense and piquant nose of perfectly ripe fruits intertwined with some spicy notes. Round, fresh and finessed on the palate, this is a mouthwatering, piquant and salty Riesling for immediate consumption. A fabulous wine at 10.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in September 2020. Drink Date: 2020 - 2028." (Germany)

Parducci
"Small Lot" Mendocino County Pinot Gris 2020
89/100 - Wine Enthusiast (6/2021)
88/100 - Our Score (3/2021) This delicious Pinot Gris comes from the northern reaches of Mendocino County. The moment it hits your glass, the unique pinkish hue lets you know you've got something fun. Ringing out with nectarine, salted melon, white peach, lemongrass and lemon zest, this delicious bottling from Parducci is medium in body and will is widely appealing. Boasting a clean, lingering finish, it will be a brunch favorite, pairing well with prosciutto-wrapped melon. You don't often find such characterful wines from California at this price! (California)

Domaine J. Boulon
Beaujolais Blanc Chardonnay 2019
89/100 - Our Score (2/2021) Made entirely of Chardonnay grown in the estate vineyards of Domaine J. Boulon, this clean, crisp white from the Beaujolais region may come as somewhat of a revelation. Look for tasty flavors of apple, pear and brewer's yeast along with an easy dose of minerality on the soft, slightly creamy, easy to drink palate. This fresh white fits perfectly into those weeknights when you don't want to pop open the $35 stuff. A crazy fun wine at a perfect price! (France)

Domaine Guillaume Gonnet
"La Nymphe" Tavel Rosé 2020
With arrival of so many of the 2020 French Rosés delayed because of tariff and logistical issues, we are thrilled to have this deeply colored bottling from Gonnet!
90+/100 - Our Score (5/2021) In addition to the Châteauneuf-du-Papes that we've enjoyed so much in recent years, Guillaume Gonnet also bottles this rich and fleshy wine from the Rosé-only Tavel region of Southern France. As is typical for Tavel, the 2020 "La Nymphe" - a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Cinsault - is deep in color, with gobs of strawberry, cherry, watermelon, peach and nectarine flavors. At 14.5% ABV, this is the kind of Rosé that red wine drinkers will enjoy, especially on a warm day with grilled meats! (France)

Domaine Andre et Mireille Tissot
Cremant du Jura Extra Brut NV
91/100 - Our Score (3/2021) This bone dry sparkler comes from a highly respected artisan grower in the Jura region of eastern France. The Tissot family disgorged this cuvée of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 5% Poulsard and 5% Trousseau in May 2020. Finished with zero dosage, it is crisp, lively and texturally generous, with a creamy palate and flavors of citrus, orchard and stone fruits. This serious sparkler is perfect as a welcome wine with cured meats, olives and simple vegetables. (France)
