Parents Update Your Contact Info
The Student Information Verification application is open in the HISD Connect Parent Portal and will remain open through November 13, 2020. We encourage all parents to visit the HISD portal and update their contact information. You have the opportunity to verify or update the following online:
  • Contact Names
  • Phone Numbers
  • Email Address
  • Home Address
Cycle 1 Report Cards
Cycle 1 Report Cards were emailed to all students via their HISD email account. If you have questions about a grade in a class, reach out directly to the teacher. If you have larger questions or concerns about your report card or academic progress, please connect with your Assistant Principal or Counselor.

Students that are looking for an additional resource to support their learning can also utilize the National Honor Society's tutorial program. "Tutes for Studes," an on-line tutorial service available for ALL Bellaire students (9th to 12th grade) needing assistance in Math, English, Social Studies, Foreign Languages, and the Sciences.  Please follow the steps below to access this resource:

2. Click on "Students" at the top of the home page.
3. Fill in the tutoring request form. You must give NHS 24-hour notice so that we can arrange for a tutoring session.
4. You will be paired with an NHS tutor, who will notify you of the time and date for the tutoring session. A full session lasts 30 minutes and takes place during Cardinal Hour. No tutoring is done before or after school or on weekends.
5. All tutoring sessions will be recorded.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any lingering questions.  And if you need to request support, then please do so ASAP.  We are eager to work closely with families to ensure student learning and overall well-being.  We are living in highly unusual times and we understand that the transition to remote learning has been different for each student.  We can help.

Home Lunch Permits
Eleventh and twelfth grade students may leave Bellaire High School campus during Cardinal Hour only if parent or guardian grants written permission and students meet all requirements. Failure of students to abide by the policy and maintain good standing as a student will result in the privilege being revoked. Students must return this request form into their alpha Assistant Principal for approval. A new ID will be issued once approval is granted.

Students will be screened again by our wellness team when they return to campus.

Drive Through Food Drive
The Italian National Honor Society (INHS) is organizing a Food Drive for the Houston Food Bank, but this time, due to the pandemic, we turned it into a Food Drive-Thru. On November 7th we will be collecting the food items at the Maple Street Circle Drive between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.  To ensure safety for everyone, all volunteers will wear masks and gloves.

Unlike previous years, The INHS will not be able to offer a tiramisu to the class who collects the most cans, but they can still keep track of your donations and bring you a box of Baci Perugina!! We hope that you will spread the word and donate!  The Italian National Honor Society and their sponsor, Ms Borsa, want to thank you in advance for being active members of our amazing village!

November 1st College Deadlines
November 1st is an important deadline in the college application process. For our Texas college, The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Houston, and Sam Houston State University all have November 1st priority deadlines. This means that students who get their completed application in by the deadline will not only hear back from the university earlier with an admission decision, but they are AUTOMATICALLY considered for academic scholarships. If you are looking for financial aid from either of these two schools, it's near impossible if you apply after November 1st.
For other schools, the November 1st deadline may be their Early Action or Early Decision deadline. Early decision applications are binding - a student who is accepted as an ED applicant must attend the college. Early action applications are nonbinding - students receive an early response to their application but do not have to commit to the college until the normal reply date of May 1. Please review some common deadlines below:
