ISSUE NO. 253 / May 19, 2021
SPRING IS IN FULL BLOOM!
Have the pastel-hued budding trees ever been more appreciated than this year? Even the black flies are (almost) looking possibly good about now. Farmers are tilling the soil and gardeners busily planting. Spring Peepers sing their nightly serenade.  Suddenly, shorts & flip-flops are the uniform of the day. Boats are being launched into the crystal clear waters of Lake Sunapee. School playing fields are full of youthful energy competing for championship glory. Spirits are high with the promise of a ‘back to familiar’ summer! … and the Red Sox are leading their league.  So take me out to the ball game!

Even as spring warms and encourages us, so too does the slow but steady return to normalcy here. We are quietly proud of being in this Upper Valley New Hampshire bubble… of firm but enlightened leadership ranking us as one of the safest places relative to the pandemic. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming returning snowbirds and visitors to the Lake Sunapee shore and being neighborly once again.
Wednesday’s email “SUNAPEE HAPPENINGS”
highlights a selection of events in our community each week.
